SUBJECT: SMAC AR10 Race is Just a Few Weeks Away

The annual club race is just a few weeks away. We are planning to pack as much adventure as we can in to this year's event. Kensington Metropark is a new venue for SMAC offering us course design possibilities that will make the race unique as well as fun. The events special design makes it suitable for the beginner to the intermediate competitor.

The Maple Beach pavilion area at the Kensington Metropark will be the site of the mandatory Friday night race briefing / registration. Because of the early morning start and the complexity of race both team members must go through sign-up process together - no exceptions. Safety issues as well as critical race information will be covered in the briefing.

Remember the club member discount is only valid until July 10th; after that all participants will have to pay the non-member cost. To receive the membership discount we must receive confirmation of payment by July 10th; if you are mailing your payment it must be postmarked by July 10th. We will accept registrations at the Friday night check-in however racers will not be guaranteed one of the clubs signature race shirts.

Please make sure you have ALL required gear; we could be having unannounced gear checks during the race. Refer to the mandatory gear list and race updates located on the clubs website. Note that this gear list could change prior to the event so make sure you check back just before the race.
